Saturday, November 8th: Darien Fall Fest
Formerly known as the Day in Darien, this fun annual festival features arts and crafts, entertainment, good food, history, and a tour of homes. The festival is coordinated by the Darien-McIntosh County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Darien Downtown Development Authority and Better Hometown Community.
Lots of activities...
Fort King George will provide a day of reenactments and the Ashantilly Center will host a lime burn. Many of the activities will also take place along Broad Street in Darien.
Highlights of the festival will include the McIntosh Art Association's juried arts and crafts show, the annual Crab-In-A-Crock cooking contest and a dog parade. An addition to the event includes a tour of homes in Darien.
Enjoy boat tours of Darien from the River...all day long!
Festival goers will also be able to take a scenic boat tour of Darien and Fort King George along the Darien River in a sun-covered tour boat that even has a bathroom! Call 912-437-3410 to get tickets specially for the boat tour, or purchase them from the Waterfront Wine and Gourmet Shop at 107 Broad St. in Darien. Who, When and Where
Mike Greenway and Colleen Jolley are co-chairs of the Darien Fall Fest, and Minet Glenn will coordinate the juried arts and crafts show for the McIntosh art Association.

To Benefit the McIntosh Art Association
Presented by Waterfront Wine and Gourmet, this art show in the heart of Darien will includes fine wines and hors d'oeuvres. There will be a live auction, silent auction and original, fine art to purchase.
Tickets are limited. $35 per person donation.

Saturday, October 18, 2008: Sapelo Island Cultural and Revitalization Society Presents Cultural Day
Tickets are on sale for the festival celebrating Sapelo Island's Gullah-Geechee heritage through music, dance, arts-and-crafts and sea island cuisine. Advance tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for children (food not included). Tour tickets are $30 and include a gospel concert and history talk at First African Baptist Church at Raccoon Bluff.
