City of Darien Public Hearing Notice

Darien, Ga: The City of Darien is preparing a Partial Update of the City’s Comprehensive Plan in accordance with Chapter 110-12-1 of the Georgia Department of Community Affairs Rules. The City’s Comprehensive Plan Partial Update must be adopted by the City Council by the deadline of October 31, 2008. The City must submit its Partial Update to the Coastal Georgia RDC by August 30, 2008 to meet this requirement.

The Comprehensive Plan Partial Update will be available for public review in the City Hall lobby beginning July 8, 2008 during normal business hours; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. A copy will also be posted at www.cityofdarienga.com.

A Public Hearing will be held on July 15, 2008 at 4:30 PM at the Darien City Hall, 106 Washington Street, Darien, GA 31305 to review the Comprehensive Plan Partial Update, answer questions, and receive public comments.
