“Richy” is a native of Liberty County who began his work in McIntosh County in 1999 as an Assistant District Attorney. He fell in love with the community he now serves and proudly calls Darien his home. He currently serves as the part-time Solicitor-General of McIntosh County and has served in this role since 2003. Prior to entering his current position, he was in the private practice of law with the prestigious law firm of Jones Osteen & Jones where he focused on local government representation. Prior to practicing law, he was an accountant that served local governments. He served as the past president of the Atlantic Judicial Bar Association. He and his wife Jennifer live in Darien and enjoy their 6 children.
Darien operates under a Council-Manager form of government. Under the Charter of the City of Darien, the city manager is the chief executive and administrative officer of the city. The city manager is responsible to the mayor and city council for the administration of all city affairs placed in his charge by or under the charter.
